Roof Replacement Across the Treasure Valley: A City-by-City Guide

The Treasure Valley looks like one market from the outside, but roofs do not age the same way from town to town. The wind that funnels into Caldwell, the foothills exposure in Eagle, the aging housing stock in Nampa, and the builder-grade shingles failing early in Star and Kuna all change what a roof replacement looks like and when it is due. We have replaced thousands of roofs across the valley, and this guide walks through what is different in each city, with a link to the details for your town.

Boise

Boise roofs run from historic North End homes to 1970s Bench ranches to foothills properties with fire-rating requirements. Freeze-thaw, high-elevation UV, and the occasional summer hail push most asphalt roofs to end of life in 20 to 25 years. See the full breakdown on our roof replacement in Boise page.

Meridian

Meridian is heavy on newer subdivisions, many still under manufacturer or builder warranty, and most are HOA-controlled with color and material matching rules that shape the replacement process. More on our roof replacement in Meridian page.

Nampa

Nampa grew fast in the 1980s and 1990s, so whole neighborhoods are sitting on second-generation roofs that are aging out at the same time. Out on the open Snake River plain, wind and hail push a tired roof over the edge sooner. See roof replacement in Nampa.

Caldwell

The Snake River canyon funnels wind into Caldwell faster than the rest of the valley sees, which works shingle seals loose and ages roofs years faster. A lot of Caldwell roofs reach end of life closer to 18 to 22 years. See roof replacement in Caldwell.

Eagle

Eagle roofs are larger, more complex, and more often premium, with foothills wind and Class A fire ratings in play. Pricing one like a tract roof is how owners get burned. See roof replacement in Eagle.

Kuna

Most Kuna homes are newer, and a lot of the roofs we replace there are not worn out from age, they are failing early because builder-grade shingles cannot handle the open high-desert wind and UV. See roof replacement in Kuna.

Star

Star is one of the fastest-growing cities in Idaho, nearly all new construction along the Boise River corridor. Many of those young roofs are already failing on builder-grade material in open river-valley wind. See roof replacement in Star.

Middleton

Middleton roofs run from century farmhouses to brand-new subdivisions, with open Canyon County farmland wind that makes metal roofing more common here than most of the valley. See roof replacement in Middleton.

Garden City

Garden City is the one valley city where a pitched home roof and a flat commercial membrane roof sit on the same block, so you need a roofer who does both. See roof replacement in Garden City.

What every Treasure Valley roof replacement has in common

No matter the city, the job is done right the same way: a full tear-off to the deck, decking repair where it is needed, proper underlayment and flashing, and installation to manufacturer spec so the warranty holds. Every Dodd job carries a 10-year workmanship warranty on top of the manufacturer warranty, financing is available, and we handle the insurance paperwork if your roof is storm-damaged. The estimate is free and we write a real number after we measure your roof in person.
