What Does Wind Damage Look Like?
Even if your home looks fine from the street, subtle storm damage may still compromise your structure. That’s why it’s critical to schedule a professional inspection after any major weather event.
Our Storm Restoration Process

1. Free, No-Obligation Inspection
We start with a comprehensive inspection of your roof, siding, and windows. Our trained storm specialists know exactly what to look for and how to identify both visible and hidden damage. We take detailed photos and notes to fully document the condition of your home.

2. Clear, Honest Evaluation
Once the inspection is complete, we review our findings with you. If your home is in good shape, we’ll let you know. If there’s enough storm-related damage to warrant an insurance claim, we’ll explain why and walk you through your options. You’ll get straightforward answers—no sales pressure, no confusion.

3. Insurance Claim Assistance
If you decide to move forward with a claim, we help every step of the way:
-
Assist with contacting your insurance carrier to file the claim
-
Provide all inspection documentation, photos, and estimates
-
Meet with your insurance adjuster onsite to ensure they have everything needed to assess the full scope of damage
-
Help translate the Insurance carrier's estimate
-
File supplements if items are missed
-
Communicate any discrepancies or supplemental items that may arise

We act as your advocate—not your insurer’s—and make sure your home is evaluated fairly and completely.

Frequently Asked Questions
If a storm just rolled through and you are not sure what happens next, these are the questions we hear most often. Call us at any time and we will walk you through the process.
How do I know if my roof has storm damage?
Hail damage on asphalt shingles shows up as small round bruises in the shingle surface where the hail dislodged the granules. Wind damage looks like creased or lifted shingles, sometimes missing entirely. Most of the time you cannot see either kind of damage from the ground. We climb the roof, mark every impact with chalk, photograph the damage, and give you a written report. The inspection is free and takes about 45 minutes.
Does my homeowners insurance cover storm damage to my roof?
In most cases yes. If a covered storm event (hail or wind) damaged your roof, your homeowners policy pays for the full replacement minus your deductible. We work with every major Idaho and North Dakota carrier and bill the insurance company directly. You pay only your deductible.
Do you offer emergency tarping after a storm?
Yes. If your roof is actively leaking after a storm, we will come out and tarp it for free. No charge for the tarp, no charge for labor, no charge for the trip. We do this because we want to be the contractor you trust to do the full replacement, and earning that trust starts with showing up when you need us most.
How quickly can you inspect my roof after a storm?
We can usually be out within 2 to 3 days of a major storm, faster if there is active water entering your home. Same-day emergency tarping if there is active leaking.
How long does the insurance claim process take?
Most storm damage claims close in 30 to 60 days from our initial inspection to a finished new roof. We handle the entire process. You file the claim, your insurance adjuster comes out for inspection (we are present so the damage we found gets documented), the carrier issues an approval and scope of work, then we do the replacement and bill the carrier directly.
How long does the insurance claim process take?
If we found damage and the adjuster disagreed, we can request a re-inspection or supplemental claim. Sometimes adjusters miss damage on the first walkthrough. We document everything on our inspection so we have evidence to support the claim. We have a strong track record of getting initially-denied claims approved on the second look.
