Storm Damage Roof Repair in Boise, Idaho

Boise. Free storm inspections, emergency tarping, full insurance claim help.

Boise does not get as much hail as Fargo, but we get our share. The most damaging storms in the Treasure Valley come from late spring (April through June) and late summer (August through September). They show up fast, sometimes with little warning, and they drop hail and wind that can damage a roof in minutes.

If a storm just hit your Boise neighborhood and you are wondering whether your roof needs to be inspected, call us. The inspection is free, takes about 45 minutes, and we will tell you the truth, even if the answer is your roof is fine.

What storm damage looks like on a Boise roof

Three kinds of damage happen most often in the Treasure Valley:

Hail damage. Small round bruises in the shingle surface where the hail dislodged granules. Usually invisible from the ground. We climb the roof and find it.

Wind damage. Creased, lifted, or completely missing shingles. Wind damage usually shows up in obvious patches because gusts come from one direction. You can often see it from the driveway after a storm. Wind speeds in Boise foothills storms can exceed 70 mph.

Debris damage. Tree branches, hail-driven debris, or anything else thrown at the roof. Most common on East End, Warm Springs, and North End homes with mature trees overhead.

What to do right after a storm hits Boise

First, do not climb on the roof. Most storm-related injuries we hear about come from homeowners trying to inspect their own roof after a storm. Wet shingles are slippery and recently-damaged areas can give way.

Second, take photos of any obvious damage from the ground. Branches down, shingles in the yard, water stains on ceilings inside. Date and time the photos.

Third, call us for a free roof inspection. We can usually be out within 2 to 3 days of a major storm, faster if there is active leaking. If there is active water entering your home, we will come out same-day and tarp the roof at no charge while you start the claim process.

Emergency tarping. Free.

If your roof is actively leaking after a storm, we will tarp it for free. No charge for the tarp, no charge for the labor, no charge for showing up. We do this because we want to be the contractor you trust to do the full replacement, and earning that trust starts with showing up when you need us most.

The tarp stops the water immediately. We then schedule the inspection and start the insurance claim process. Most Boise storm claims close in 30 to 60 days.

How we handle Boise insurance claims

We work with every major Idaho carrier active in the Treasure Valley. The process:

1. We inspect the roof for free and document any storm damage with photos and a written report.

2. You file the claim with your insurance company. We give you the language to use.

3. The carrier sends an adjuster to inspect the roof. We are there for that inspection so the damage we found gets documented.

4. The carrier issues an approval and scope of work.

5. We do the replacement and bill the carrier directly. You pay only your deductible.
