We recently got the news that Dodd Roofing and Exteriors was voted Idaho's Best Siding Contractor by IdahosBest.com. This is a real honor and we wanted to take a minute to share what the award actually means, why it matters, and what comes next.

Who voted on this

IdahosBest.com is the largest and most trusted best-of awards program in Idaho. They are not a pay-to-play program. There is no fee to enter, the results are not influenced by sponsorships, and small companies have the same chance to win as large companies.

Voting was done by Idaho residents through SMS-verified registration to prevent fraud. Every winner is also reviewed against their BBB profile to make sure their reputation matches their reviews. So when the award says we were voted Idaho's Best, it means actual Idaho residents picked us, and an independent check confirmed we deserved it.

Why we are humbled

We have been in business for over 40 years across roofing, construction, insurance, and exteriors. The team here has installed siding on thousands of homes across the Treasure Valley and the FM metro. We have always tried to do the work the right way: show up on time, install per manufacturer spec so the warranty is valid, clean up after ourselves, and stand behind the work with our 10-year workmanship warranty.

Getting voted the best in Idaho is not something we set out to chase. We just try to do the work right. The award is a thank-you from our customers, and we are grateful for it.

What this means for new customers

The work we do does not change. The same crews, the same materials, the same warranty. What does change is that homeowners thinking about new siding can know that an independent program of thousands of Idaho residents looked at the options and picked us.

If you are starting to think about siding for your home in Idaho or North Dakota, we would love to be the contractor that does the work. Call (208) 295-9421 for Idaho or (701) 831-0710 for North Dakota.

What we install most often

LP SmartSide engineered wood is our top recommendation for most Idaho and FM metro homes. It looks like real cedar, holds up to our freeze-thaw cycles, is rated for hail impact up to 1.75 inches, and comes with a 50-year limited warranty. James Hardie fiber cement is our second-most-installed product for homeowners who want the heavier, more fire-resistant option. Vinyl is the most affordable choice when the budget calls for it.

We wrote a longer breakdown of LP SmartSide vs James Hardie vs vinyl in another post. If you want the details before your estimate, that is a good read.

Thank you

To every Idaho resident who voted for us, every customer who hired us, every crew member who showed up day after day, and every partner who supported us over the last 40 years: thank you. We will keep showing up the same way for the next 40.
